Port Guide

Kwai Chung Container Terminals and Tsing Yi handle most vehicle imports. Modern and highly efficient — clearance typically takes 3–7 working days. Excellent RoRo options are available. Hong Kong Customs operates to very high standards with online pre-arrival processing.

The UK–Hong Kong route is well-established with regular direct shipping services. Both LHD and RHD vehicles can be used in Hong Kong. Ensure vehicles are for end-use in Hong Kong and not re-export to Mainland China, as different regulations apply.

Local Market Advice

Hong Kong is one of Asia's most prestigious car markets. Ultra-luxury vehicles are genuinely popular — the Rolls-Royce dealership in Hong Kong is consistently one of the world's highest-volume stores. Despite the FRT, wealthy buyers view prestige cars as important status symbols.

UK vehicles are respected for quality and provenance. Full service history from a UK main dealer carries significant weight. The used market for Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Porsche, and Ferrari is strong. RHD works perfectly. Black, white, and silver dominate colour preferences.
