Latest Reviews & Market Insights

New model launches, specification changes, and residual value shifts all affect the right time to source a prestige vehicle from the UK. We track the brands our clients ask about most — Range Rover, Bentley, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Mercedes-AMG — and translate market movements into export buying advice.

UK Market Pricing Snapshot

Indicative UK asking prices for the most actively exported prestige models. Prices shown are what you would pay in the UK — VAT (20%) is then reclaimed by the exporter on departure, reducing the effective cost. Used prices reflect typical dealer-advertised stock. Where demand consistently outstrips supply, a market premium above list is noted.

Export Outlook by Brand

What matters most for export buyers isn't the review itself — it's what a model change means for UK pricing, specification availability, and the right time to buy. Here is our current read on each brand.

Range Rover

The UK's Most Exported Prestige SUV

Built in Solihull, the Range Rover is manufactured in the UK for the UK market — which means UK factory pricing and no import duty component. The current L460-generation Autobiography and SV represent the peak of Land Rover engineering, and the UK used market turns over large volumes of 1–3 year old examples at pricing that simply cannot be matched anywhere else globally.

The 4-seat interior configuration commands a significant premium in Southeast Asia and the Caribbean. MHEV and PHEV variants attract lower import duty and registration tax in Cyprus, Malta, and Singapore. White, black, and Batumi Gold remain the highest-demand exterior colours across Africa and the Gulf.

Bentley

Mulliner Bespoke — Only From Crewe

Every Bentley Bentayga and Continental GT is built at the Crewe factory in Cheshire. UK pricing is the global benchmark — a Bentayga ordered from a UK dealer costs the same from the factory as one destined for a Gulf showroom, but the UK buyer pays significantly less in total because they avoid import duties, local taxes, and dealer margin uplift applied in most export markets.

Mulliner bespoke commissions are only accessible through UK and European dealers. Buyers wanting unique paint, bespoke interior specifications, or the Mulliner Blackline treatment must order through the UK supply chain. The current Bentayga EWB (Extended Wheelbase) has strong demand in the Gulf and Southeast Asia.

Porsche

Depth of Supply, Width of Specification

The UK is one of the world's deepest markets for used Porsche. There are consistently thousands of Cayenne examples available at any given time — more than any other single country outside Germany — covering every trim from base Cayenne through to Turbo GT. This depth of supply creates genuine pricing competition that depresses UK used values relative to most export markets.

The Cayenne Coupe has grown substantially in demand across Southeast Asia and East Africa. E-Hybrid variants attract reduced import duty in several markets including Cyprus and Malaysia. The current 9YB-generation Cayenne (2023 onwards) features revised styling and updated powertrain options — first-generation examples of the 9YA (2018–2022) now represent strong value in the used market.

Rolls-Royce

The Home Market Advantage

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is headquartered and manufactured in Goodwood, England. The UK is the home market — every Cullinan, Ghost, Phantom, and Spectre emerges from the same facility. Factory pricing for UK buyers is the global baseline, and VAT reclaim on export means UK sourcing consistently delivers the world's lowest achievable price for a new or nearly-new Rolls-Royce.

The Cullinan Series II (2024) introduced revised exterior styling, updated interior technology, and new paint options. First-generation Cullinans (2018–2023) now represent strong value in the used market — the Series I Black Badge commands a premium in the Gulf and Southeast Asia due to its darker aesthetic. The Spectre EV has added a new dimension to UK Rolls-Royce supply.

Mercedes-AMG

G63 — Africa and Asia's Most Wanted

The Mercedes-AMG G63 is one of the most consistently requested vehicles across our African and Asian export markets. Its combination of extreme presence, mechanical robustness, and global brand recognition makes it aspirational from Lagos to Nairobi to Bangkok. UK used G63 pricing offers a meaningful advantage over local dealer pricing in most export destinations.

The current W463A platform G63 (2018 onwards) is the version in demand. Night Package, AMG Performance Exhaust, and Manufaktur exterior finishes are the most sought-after specification points. The new G580 EV has not meaningfully affected demand for the AMG G63 in export markets, where internal combustion remains strongly preferred. Right-hand drive G63 supply from the UK is consistent.

Toyota Land Cruiser

Unmatched Reliability, Global Demand

The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series (LC300) is one of the most globally traded vehicles in the world. The UK market receives consistent allocation of both petrol and diesel variants, and UK pricing provides a meaningful export advantage particularly for East African and Caribbean destinations. Demand for UK-specification RHD examples is strong in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Jamaica, and Barbados.

The 300 Series replaced the long-running 200 Series in 2021 and introduced the new twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 petrol (VD55 engine). VX and GR Sport trims are the highest in demand for export. Wait times for new 300 Series have shortened from the 2022–2023 peak. Used examples with delivery mileage have appeared in meaningful numbers in the UK market.

Why Model Cycles Matter for Export Buyers

When a new model year or major facelift launches, UK used prices for the outgoing generation often soften quickly — creating a buying window where export buyers can acquire a nearly-new vehicle at a materially lower price than 6 months prior. Understanding where each model sits in its cycle is central to timing a UK sourcing purchase correctly. We advise clients on this as part of our standard service.

Specification Matters as Much as Price

Export market resale values are often driven by specific specification points more than in the UK. A Range Rover Autobiography with the 4-seat interior, a Bentley with the Naim audio system, or a Porsche with the Sport Chrono package all command meaningful premiums at destination. We source to specification — not just to price — and our knowledge of what buyers in each destination market value most shapes every sourcing decision we make.

Exchange Rate Timing

Sterling fluctuates against the US Dollar, Kenyan Shilling, Singapore Dollar, and most other currencies our clients deal in. A 5% movement in GBP/USD on a £200,000 vehicle represents £10,000 in landed cost — a significant variable. We track exchange rates actively and flag favourable windows to clients who have an active sourcing brief. Contact us to register a brief and receive market timing updates.
